It was my great joy to finally hold the Senior Rosebowl last year, and I just realised I never sent this picture to you of it being presented by veteran serial BERU section winner Peter Hobbs, G3LET, yourself as ‘Relfections in a Rosebowl’ author (and past Senior Rosebowl winner), myself and RSGB president, Stuart Bryant G3YSX

But as always with BERU travellers, there is a background story. I had emailed Peter during the week before the Convention and said it would mean a lot to me if he would please be part of the presentation team, but he mailed by return with a picture of badly crashed car and explained that he had barely escaped with his life and was unfortunately unable to come. However, Peter is not the kind of guy to duck a challenge, and he did find a way to get himself there, as you can see.
