I’ve been entering this contest every year since about 1978. First as VE3JKZ then VE6JKZ now VE7JKZ/VE7RAC, and it seems that each year the local noise level gets worse. In the early days the S meter would barely move on 20 and above but now S5 is about the norm, S4 or 3 on a really good day.  S6/7 on 40 and S8/9 on 80. This does not bode well for us suburbanites.

Even so, I managed to eke out 29 Qs on 80, 65 on 40, 74 on 20 and 6 on 15 for a total of 174 with an estimated score of 2,910. Here’s hoping for a great new cycle with good dx on 15 and 10m.
Antennas are a C4S yagi with 2 elements each on 10, 15, and 20, plus a single element on 40 at close to 50ft. Top loaded vertical for 80/160 and also 630m.
Attached is a photograph of yours truly at the operating position. As you can see the station is pretty much all home built. The radio is one of two Picastars I built. Next to it is a linear covering 40 through 10 metres using a single 3-400Z, and to the left of that is another linear covering 30 through 160m using a pair of 4-125A tubes. There is a shelf above this second linear on which sits a National HRO receiver.
It’s always good to work familiar callsigns year after year and I look forward to doing this for many more years!
