Be interesting if more ops would state the aerials used – I don’t feel so bad at my casual effort now!Started just before 1700 on Saturday for just under 8 hours plus another 3 Hours on Sunday.
Aerial is a lowly doublet at 8m apex cut for 40m running S&P only with 250/300W o/p.
Suffering from higher than normal noise on 40m plus the usual ridiculous QRN on 80m so surprised what I heard/worked.
80m 13 QSO, including ZF2, VY2(2), VE3(2), VE9, CJ3
40m 47 QSO, including 3B8, 5B4, 9V1, C56, VP9, ZB2, ZF2 and ZL3 plus VE(25) and VK(9) with VE3 most prolific
Missed GI6XX on 40m but otherwise clean sweep of HQ stations both bands….
20m 11 QSO, including 5B4(2), 9H(2), and VE(9)
So only 71 QSO but plenty of breaks in between contacts!
Interesting seeing what can be worked (from a newbie to HF Point of view) at the bottom of the cycle…
