Itchen Valley Amateur Radio Club will be again entering two teams, The Veterans (who by their calls signs have CW qualifications) and the DIGI team which is getting increasingly proficient using CW readers.
Next weekend, the Veterans are going to be hard pressed to keep ahead of Team DIGI as availability of several of the members is likely to be limited, whereas DIGIt have an additional member this year.
IVARC did quite well in National Field Day last year, some of the highest point scorers were from the DIGI team so the BERU experience is beginning to work and several are actively working on their CW skills.
Itchen Valley Veterans team is expected to be: G3HRH Ray, G3OTK Richard, G3ROG Geoff, G3XSD Graham, G4GBP/P Colin
G4GBP/P will be working from his narrowboat “Constance” expected to be at IO92IA, about 5 miles south of Banbury in Oxfordshire. Lets hope no-one casts him adrift during BERU as I suspect /M QSO’s may not not be valid!
