Testing the set up for Grenada , KX3, Hardrock amp, keyer and laptop all seemed to hang together very well.

“Better test the coax, 20m of Super 8, . Thats odd, the amp says high SWR! Ah yes the coax is all rather corroded at one end, couldn’t have cleaned it properly the last time I used it”. ” Looked OK though” ” Good job I checked!”

Hi folks

With improved flight access to PEI this year, it seemed a shame not to make more use of my VE call gained last year with the help of Jeff VY2ZM.  I shall once again be travelling to Ken VY2TT’s great station and hope to make better use of all the automation that Ken has in place there.  So please bear with a newbie to computer logging!

Hi Bob

BERU:  Have decided to go to Kenya for BERU. Flight, accommodation in Nairobi and car all booked. My 5Z4LS call (first issued to me in 1968) has been unused for 5 years !  I am staying for two weeks so will spend plenty of time on the air outside the contest. I leave on 4  Mar and return on 18^th.  If all goes well unusually I will enter the high power section – presuming my linear and antenna arrive with me!  I had been planning to go to Lesotho but that proved not easy for a number of reasons – may go there later this year.
