GU6XX will be my call and will make sure I’m around VK/ZL openings and will get a good VE run. QSL on UK pileups as well – no problem.

Hi Bob,
Team World Traveller Plus is now quorate, though I have had to interpret ‘Plus’ to include some in far flung places as there seem to be only few travellers this year:
5Z4VJ – Andy G3AB (etc.)
6Y6YI – Mike – G3VYI
9H6A – Ivan 9H1PI and John 9H1XT
G4SGX/6Y – Iain G4SGX
ZF2CA – Colin G4CWH
Judging by the number of teams yet registered and the modest propagation factor, we are looking to do quite well this year. Those other nascent teams had better get their skates on…

PS J38R was 599 on 10m for hours last evening in the UK still going at 2000.

Hello all
I will be activating GB5CC again in BERU this weekend. From here just N. of Inverness I can (usually) work UK stations on all 5 bands.
On the higher bands, if you have a directional antenna, consider beaming in the same direction as GB5CC (towards the maximum ionisation) which might give better results than beaming towards here.
I’ll be CQing for a much of the contest as possible – hopefully the bands will have recovered from yesterday’s aurora, which gave W6, W7 and VE7 stations in ARRL SSB a strong auroral tone..
Hope to work you!!

Hi,
The Commonwealth Contest takes place on March 9th/10th. You will see from https://www.qrz.com/db/G6XX that GD/GJ/GU have no volunteers to operate the G*6XX HQ calls. If anyone there would like to take them on even if limited for operating time and bands please let me know.
No overheads – just use the call and add ‘HQ’ to the end of the exchange and then send an adif file to G4FAL afterwards. You’ll be popular with the DX and can also work UK stations.

Hi Bob,
This year’s team is yet a bit thin, consisting of the following confirmed stations:
Mike G3VYI/6Y
Iain G4SGX/6Y
Colin ZF2CA
As previously, I have regarded the ‘Plus’ of World Travellers Plus to generously include fixed stations in isolated places and in order to achieve a quorum we are open to anyone who thinks they meet this (very) broad description….
