Can I register one VE team which I am going to christen VE East?

Mike VE9AA has also been in touch but will not be available full time, so if there are no further offers I will include him in the next week or so under the “changes” rule.

Hi All,
I’ve been talking to Patrick 2PN, and he’s informed me that he and Barry 2BJ are starters to make a team for this years BERU on the 12, 13th March.  I’m in as well which makes 3 so far.   Looks like I’ve been nominated a team captain as Barry wants a break.

Any more takers?  Please let me know as time is quickly passing to nominate.

Itchen Valley Teams and rule clarification

Good morning,

Itchen Valley ARC is again entering two teams into BERU (whoops, sorry, Commonwealth Contest) and as we are finding it difficult to get five members into each team, being able to offer some flexibility to prospective entrants might ease the situation.
Having read rule 6 (Team Competition) and 3(b) Restricted – Single Operator Unassisted, it would appear that there is no restriction on individual team members being either in the category of 12 or 24 hours of operation, as long as the individual team member’s choice is made clear in the Cabrillo header?
 
Could you please confirm this!

Hi Geoff , that’s correct there are no restrictions 12 or 24  in BERU team members, the more the merrier.
Please let us know the proposed teams  soon as  you can!

Just to keep you appraised: I have completed and sent the NoV application for GB5CC.  Hopefully, it will come through in time.

My set up will be:

Aerials: (LF) Dipoles at 60ft and 70 ft for 80m and 40m + 1/4 wave vertical on 80m + beverages on RX
Aerials (HF) 3 Element TB3 triband Yagi at 60ft

Each year the Team Trophies are privately sponsored both for the cost of the prizes and the not inconsiderable cost of postage to various parts of the Commonwealth.

We don’t receive any support from RSGB for this. We depend on donations from various generous individuals.

This year we need more sponsors to chip in small amounts so that we can keep up being able to award these trophies.
